Whenever this season of "social distancing" is over, and churches are permitted to gather freely once again, I propose that all church leaders encourage their members to either walk (sidewalks only) or take public transportation (no Uber, taxis) to church each week.

This is due to the deadly reality that nearly 40,000 people in the United States (1.35 million people worldwide) perish each year in traffic accidents!

Leaving our vehicles at home and keeping them safely tucked away from other passing cars will no doubt save thousands of lives each year (hundreds each week), and is the only sensible course of action if we claim to truly love our neighbors.
