More thoughts about It

I've been told by at least one person that my recent review of Craig Groeschel's book "It" (http://ow.ly/XiWB) was being too tough on him and his ministry. I disagree.

First, I didn't review the "man" or his "ministry", but the words he published in his book. He willingly layed those out for everyone to see. Pastor Groeschel should heed the words of James:

"Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness." http://ref.ly/Jm3.1

Second, I don't think I am overreacting. Much of the book made me feel like I was reading something written by a smart-eleck (and potty-mouthed) 12 year old to his tweenie friends. It definitely did not befit a pastor of any stature. Reminds me of another verse:

"Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear." http://ref.ly/Ep4.29

I invite anyone who has read the book to show me if I am over-reacting and how. I truly hope and pray that Pastor Craig would grow up and fulfill the ministry that he claims to have been called to undertake!
