I just took a two day trip with my 2 1/2 year old son Gabriel to visit some friends and do some research for our business. Here I am posting a medley of pics that I took today from the road, with some descriptions of each:

A portrait of Dalijia Peak (14,850 ft.). My brother and I made it to the top this Spring.

The Yellow River is the major water source for this dry, beautiful part of China.

This remote monastery is located right on the edge of the Tibetan Plateau. I ended up giving an older Tibetan fellow a ride to his home village which was on the highway that I was taking. I was able to play Tibetan praise & worship songs for him during our journey and give him some Tibetan Christian literature as a way to share with him.

Gabriel and I took an hour or so this afternoon to "swim" in the shallow stream seen in this pic. The water was suprisingly warm for being 11,000 ft. up on the Tibetan Plateau.

A distinct lack of visitors has left this lake and the surrounding mountains quite pristine. I was able to share some Gospel literature with some of the security guards watching the dam.
