The coming 3 to 4 weeks are going to be extremely busy for me as I travel to the States for a week or two and then on to the Dominican Republic for another 9 days. During this short time in the USA I will be in Atlanta (Sept 22, 25 & Oct 3, 13), Knoxville, TN (Sept 22-23), Christiansburg, VA (Sept 23), Boone, NC (Sept 24), Gainesville, GA (Sept 24-25), Oklahoma City (Sept 25-30), and Minneapolis (Sept 30-October 3). I will be in the Dominican Republic from October 4 until the 13th. 

The primary purpose of this semi-short trip is to meet up with a small group of guys in the DR (Dominican Republic) for fellowship, reflection, and prayer. In many ways, this bi-annual gathering is the highlight of the year. Please pray that God would bind this small group together and use us for His glory in the places He has called us to minister!

However, to make the most of my time in coming all the way over from western China (and capitalize on my almost-free plane tickets!) I am going to try and visit a number of people and places in the States in the days leading up to my time in the DR (see the schedule above). If you are going to be in any of the places listed above around the time that I will be passing through, don't hesitate to write! I would love to see and fellowship with some people that I haven't seen in a long time.

Please pray for my wife and kids as they hold down the fort while I'm gone. God is already blessing us by sending us a young lady named Rachael who is working alongside us in China and will be staying with my wife while I am gone to help her with the kids.

On a different note, I have the opportunity before I leave to pick up any number of really nice Chinese "Bible verse scrolls" to bring back with me to the States. These beautiful scrolls (see the pics in this post) could be used to decorate a home or office (or whatever room you like).

I can send you the smaller (about 1ft x 1ft) square scroll for only $20 and the larger one (1ft x 2ft) for just $30. There are also larger ones (1ft x 3ft) available for $40.

The larger scroll above features a winter scene in China and Ephesians 4:2-3 handwritten in Chinese script. The smaller one has the Chinese word for "Love" (Pronounced "Ay") surrounded by the text of Psalm 32:10. Many other scriptures scroll combinations are also available.
