china - Sin, the Coronavirus, and the Great Commission

If only we would react to the reality and danger of sin with even half the urgency and seriousness with which we have responded to the coronavirus!

Sin infects all men, yet most try to pretend it isn't "their problem" and ignore the warnings of the prophets. But every one of us is part of the ultimate statistic: 100% will die as a result of sin.

"it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment" Hebrews 9:27

But we have not been left to perish alone. There is hope! Jesus Christ suffered the curse of sin for us and died on the Cross in our place, then rose again for our eternal justification!

"And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son" John 3:14-16a

However, knowledge of sin's Cure is not evenly distributed throughout our world. Vast multitudes of people either do not know it is available at all (free of charge), or have not yet been clearly told how to obtain it (repentance and faith)!

“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.” Mark 1:15

Whoever finds a cure for covid-19 will be be praised by the world. Yet many of those same people will vilify (and black-list) those who faithfully proclaim the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the world's only everlasting Hope.

“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name's sake." Matthew 24:9

Oh, for more urgency to deliver the Ultimate Cure to every family on earth, no matter the risks involved, where thousands perish in their sins each day!

“Those who have never been told of him will see, and those who have never heard will understand.” Romans 15:2
