Taking Matters Into My Own Home
The travels of the past few days ended up being quite crazy with a lot of improvisations. The day that it rained, we changed plans 2 or 3 times before finally deciding what to do. Then we had to rush off to another city about 100 miles away to get busy redeeming the time.
My primary goal for the trip was to visit and spend good quality time of discipleship with our (formerly Muslim) believer friend in the village where he has been staying with his mother. Unfortunately, primarily because of the rain on Wednesday, we were not able to see him until late this afternoon, the day we were supposed to be returning home.
So I have improvised once again. I invited him to come home with us for the weekend to spend quality time studying the Word without distraction (and without worrying about the next thunderstorm that might cut off his village from our access!).
So please, please pray for this brother, that our fellowship and study time would be blessed with clarity of thought, soberness in study, and the Holy Spirit to guide and convict us both as we dig into the Gospel of Luke!
