As I was praying this evening with a group of fellow missionaries, I felt like I caught a glimpse of the reality that God works best in us and through us when we are at our weakest.

One of my friends was praying that this city would shine like a lighthouse throughout China, and as he said those words my mind immediately went to Brother Ma, one of the only two former Muslim Christians in this entire region. Brother Ma is an awesome guy, but he is not big in stature or strong or bold in his manner of speech. He is very quiet, thoughtful, and almost even shy. But we truly believe that God's light is going to shine bright throughout this city. And Brother Ma is almost surely going to be a huge instrument in God's hands to bring that to pass. With fleshly eyes we can't imagine anything big coming from one or two lone believers. But when we are at our weakest, God is at His strongest in us.

We can do anything through Christ who gives us strength.

Please pray with me for Brother Ma and for this city and region!
