Here's the basic info for a mid-term missions opportunity that we've been thinking about trying to implement recently. It would be great to receive some feedback on this idea!

China Challenge

Travel to more than 100 cities in 11 provinces in 11 months.

Learn to read, speak, and write Chinese naturally, through immersion

Share the Gospel every day using English and Chinese (after a few months)

Personally deliver thousands of Bibles and tracts to Christians and the unreached

Evangelize Chinese Muslims & other upgs who live scattered throughout China

Blog about each city visited to raise more prayer support and more laborers

Pray and fast for China while living and traveling and ministering in China!

Each team of 2-4 people would visit 10 different provinces for about 1 month at a time, and all teams would travel to Tibet together mid-way through the year for fellowship and debrief and more strategic ministry.

Total cost would amount a maximum of $20/day for 12 months ($7200) plus $1000 airfare and $800 visa related fees ($1400) for a total of about: $9000

Please write me anytime (eugene at cotse dot net) if you'd be interested in a "challenge" such as this one!

  1. You’ve got quite a few children God just might send our way someday! I just had dinner with the oldest!

    For His Glory,

    Eugene

  2. I´ve already done something quite like it way back in 2003. I´m just throwing it out there to see if I get any real response to it. So far, the response has been relatively minimal. Just a few people saying it sounds interesting. We´ll see what happens…

  3. Thanks for the email. I’ll be sure to check back daily to see if you have any updates about it. If you want, I can post something about it on my blog as well.

  4. Though I will not be able to travel on such a journey, I will certainly be praying for you as you go. My daughter was born in Guangxi, China 5 1/2 years ago, and I pray every day that her birth=parents will be recipients of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Thank you for putting feet to my prayers.

  5. it surprised me to see someone had come up with this daring, bold, interesting plan; and it suprised to see that not many people showed interest in it…

how was your trip? was it successful?

this website came up randomly while i was searching for the poorest villages in china.

i am a chinese who has spent the past nine years in london, studied, worked, lived, now wanted to contribute a little to my mother land.

    keep me updated.
