Today was the beginning of yet another trip for us. This time, the trip will be much longer and has many more aspects to it than the last Tibetan Road Trip.
The next couple of days are going to take us from the hot, dry, and arid Northwest of China to the hot, rainy, and humid coast of Southern China. We will be taking trains, ferries, taxis, buses, and speed-boats to get to the places we have to visit.
The main purpose of the coming week is for my wife and I, and Gabriel, to accompany my parents to Hong Kong where they will fly back to the USA next Tuesday. After that, we will be in the Hong Kong region catching up with old friends and fellow workers until our Latino guys meet up with us on August 2nd. On August 3rd we (my family, and the 3 Latinos) are flying to the Malaysian Peninsula for 3 1/2 weeks of rest, relaxation, looking back at the year gone past, and a lot of planning for the coming year.
The guys have to leave the country at least once a year to get their visas renewed, so we are taking advantage of that need to spend some time debriefing the past year and planning for the year that is to come.
Please pray for us during all these travels and that the time would be truly fruitful! Also ask the Lord to give us divine appointments to share His Word with the Muslims of Malaysia during our time there. Although often overlooked, Malaysia is a nation primarily run by Muslims and is home to nearly 15 million people who belong to Islam. Even though we will officially be on ‘vacation’, we want to be ready to speak forth God’s Word at any and every opportunity!
