Tony the Lawman recently shared the following on his blog:

I just finished listening to K.P. Yohannan’s book, “Revolution in World Missions.” The audio book is available as a free download on the Gospel for Asia website.

I highly recommend this book to any follower of Christ who is serious about missions. This wonderful book provides a biblical perspective for raising up and supporting indigenous missionaries. Yohannan also provides a clear and uncompromising evaluation of the state of the American Church, particularly as it pertains to missions.

You will be encouraged and challenged by this book.

I agree with Tony and his recommendation of this book, but I left a comment on his blog because of a personal testimony that I wanted to share and so that I could add a little bit to his thoughts.

Here is my comment:

Interestingly enough, it was one of Yohannan’s videos that ignited my heart for missions almost 6 years ago.

Even though his focus is mainly on Westerners supported native missionaries, God used the video to show me a need overseas that I was in a position to do something about.

Now I live and minister among a number of remote tribes in western China.

So while you support native missionaries, please also be willing to go yourself!

There are still many unreached places in the world where there are no native Christians to be missionaries to their own people!
