Telling It Like It Is

Recently I realized how much I had been sugarcoating the mission that God has called us to accomplish as a ministry. I have often been too open to receive help from others who do not truly have a calling that matches what God is calling us corporately as a ministry to accomplish.

I just decided the other day to begin truly telling it like it is in regards to the calling that God has given us. We need missionaries to come alongside us, but we don’t need just ANY missionary. We need those who have a calling that matches our corporate calling.

This is what I wrote late last night as I revised the front page of our ministry website (www.goingworldwide.org):

We are praying for a few good men (and women!). Our vision is simple: Go, Live, and Minister in the places where others have said it is too DIFFICULT to get to, too UNCOMFORTABLE to live in, and next to IMPOSSIBLE to share the Gospel.  We will be found where the highways are the roughest, the climate the harshest, and the people are the least receptive. If you are truly willing to give up your life for Jesus as you take His Gospel to the ends of the earth, then pray about joining our mission. We offer ministry opportunities throughout most of the world, but our efforts are primarily focused on Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa.

Please pray with us that God would provide a ‘special ops’ force (check out my blog, “Special Ops: No Job Too Hard”) of missionaries who are willing to go anywhere and do anything for Jesus as they take the Gospel to the ends of the earth. We truly need a large number of people to complete the ministry vision that God has placed in our hearts. But we can’t force things. We must wait on Him, because He is the only One who can provide the missionaries needed to reach the least-reached people of the world!
