We spend so much time talking about the many different faith issues that go on daily in our lives. We talk about our prayer requests. We talk about our plans for the future or what we’ve accomplished in the past. We talk about our moral failures and victories. We talk about who we shared the Gospel with today or maybe about who we heard commited some heinous crime. We talk about how the church service went and how well the pastor preached.
None of these subjects of conversation are bad in and of themselves, however when is the last time we sat down with a brother or sister in Christ to simply talk about… HIM!?

How often do we simply talk to one another about the glories of Jesus Christ?

When is the last time we extolled His grace and the wonder of His being the willing sacrifice for our sins?

Why do we not constantly remind one another that Jesus deserves all the glory for any and everything that is good in our lives, because were it not for Him we would still be wallowing in the vomit of our sin and rebellion against God?

Why is Jesus not the most important part of every conversation?

I am asking these things, not because I am an example of someone who always acts in these ways, but because I honestly want to challenge myself to think more on Christ and to truly live as if He is the most important thing in all the world.

Because, if He is not truly my Everything, then how do I know that I really know Him?
