So far this week has been quite busy. I have a dozen things on my plate, and not enough time to really concentrate fully on any of them.

On top of the stuff I have to do here in my home city, I also see the need to get out and explore the towns and villages of the region surrounding where we live. So, 2 or 3 days of the week I am also gone most of the day on the Schizocycle riding the back roads of China and visiting with the locals.

After spending an entire day riding around the bumpy backroads of China, you almost need another entire day to recover. That is what I am dealing with today. I left yesterday morning at 7:30 a.m. and made it home at 8:10 p.m. after having visited 2 prefectures, 4 counties, 8 towns, a 12,000 ft. mountain pass, and a beautiful hilltop pine forest.

Here is a list of yesterday’s highlights, in chronological order:

1. Getting my bike stuck in some kind of tar/mud at 11,600 ft. above sea-level and having to push it out.

2. Sharing the Gospel with Mazhu, a friend in a city that is 97% Muslim.

3. Going with Mazhu to visit his city’s orphanage, where I met Gaogan, the sweetest 20 year old handicapped kid you’ve ever seen in your life. I’ll definitely go back!

4. Discovering the most beautiful pine forest I have ever seen in China!!! This region is fairly dry and forests are scarce due to the huge number of people and farms, so this was definitely a treat.

5. Finally getting home safely to my beautiful wife and baby Gabriel!
