Jesus for President?

The Pen of a Ready Writer –
Reflecting on the horrific events of 11 years ago and contemplating the election for President of the United States 8 weeks from today…After watching all of the major speeches at both the Republican and Democratic conventions I am now ready to offer my personal endorsement…Let the record show that I am for JESUS in 2012.
More than ever before I am praying “…Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.” Let us be clear: Jesus is not running for office; He is not campaigning for a single vote; He will not have to debate any opponent. His reign will not be a democracy, but a theocracy. He will simply come as “King of kings and Lord of lords.” He will never hold a press conference, however, in my mind I picture the news media asking about His policies.
(1) “What are you going to do about education?”
Jesus replies, “the knowledge of the Lord shall cover the earth as the waters cover the sea.”
(2) “What about the economy?”
Jesus answers: “they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree.” (And the taxes will never come due!)
(3) “What about health care?”
Jesus responds: “the eyes of the blind shall be opened and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped, the lame man shall leap like a hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing.”
(4) “What about Your foreign policy?”
Jesus says, “They shall beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks and the nations shall learn of war no more.”
No wonder I’m for Jesus in 2012…He will not be affected by term limits. He will never be impeached and He’s not going to resign – He shall reign forever and ever…

Who needs a president when you have a King named Jesus !
